Overview

Intrauterine Contraception Today focuses on long-term reversible contraception, an issue of importance to all clinicians in female reproductive healthcare. The program, which features a series of monthly
e-newsletters and also included an audioconference series, is designed for OB/GYNs, nurse practitioners in women's health, select primary care physicians, select physician assistants, office nurses, retail pharmacists, and managed care decision-makers. Led by key experts in the field, the program seeks to identify the need for long-term reversible contraception; explore the overall use, satisfaction rates, safety, and efficacy of the two available intrauterine devices (IUDs); identify patient populations appropriate for each IUD; and provide practical advice on management and counseling issues.
